Altheoworld presents Indonesian Street Artist, Farhan Siki

On december 15th I met Malaysian Artist, Farhan Siki, at his first Milan exhibit.

Farhan Siki, also known as the " Asian Bansky," is a master of stencil and spray. His work focuses on the excesses of consumerism. Farhan’s work has not weakened in the transition from wall to canvas and still has the immediacy of street art

Farhan’s strong social conscience combined with humor, daring and aesthetic commitment, leads him to explore the textual elements in depth : the artist collects logos, brands, symbols and icons of mass culture, both local and global  and imbues them with parody.

It is a borrowed language, in form and content, from the world of advertising and communication through which the artist presents the ironic contradictions of contemporary life.
